Stopping for a minute to smell the roses
Well! Some of you may know I’ve been doing 3 jobs for several years now!
My day job as a Senior Creative in a design studio /ad agency; side design work with a couple of clients of my own – and Roofus of course. Whilst they were all fun and complimentary to each other in many ways, in the end I found it a punishing schedule. And I simply didn’t have enough time to devote to my first creative love, Roofus.
So, recently I finally made the leap to leave my full-time job, and am now a Design Director at large (aka freelance) in design and advertising. A much more loose and flexible way to do what I do in my day job.
Mainly I’m taking a BIG moment to stop and smell the the roses. Having a bit of time to creatively regroup, to immerse in nature, eat and drink lots and spend LOTS of time with family and friends. Next step, John and I plan to throw ourselves into Roofus full strength, and immerse ourselves in all things beautiful and Roofus.
On the horizon we are planning our first pop up shop! Many people want to see and touch our product in the flesh; it can be hard to convey the colours and materials online. We love that too, because really our products are more beautiful in the flesh. Plus, we love meeting our lovely clients!
Watch this space, we’ll keep you posted!
