The whales and Hervey Bay

We recently spent a few days at Hervey Bay to see the Humpback Whales. Oh my! The experience of lifetime.

Four hours out on the boat and so many whale experiences – from seeing them flocking and breaching in the mid-distance to coming up close to the boat and hanging around like dogs and saying hello. So inquisitive! Lots of mothers and calves. They were coming up underneath the boat and popping their giant heads out right in front of you. Fantastic!

Next year we are going back earlier in the season and hope to get in the water and swim with them, woo!
